This scheme shows how a positive and pragmatic interpretation of Green Belt policy can deliver much needed housing. On behalf of Edgefold Homes, we secured planning permission for the redevelopment of a redundant brownfield site in the Green Belt for seven residential units. We successfully demonstrated that the proposed scheme would have no greater impact on the openness of the Green Belt than the existing built form. Having listened to concerns of local stakeholders on surface water flooding, Edgefold Homes provided detention basin as part of the scheme. When built out, the residential scheme would make a positive contribution to the area, as recognised by the local Parish Councils.
