P4 Planning has submitted a planning application, on behalf of Britannia Group and Grasscroft Property, for the creation of 23 new homes in Northenden, Greater Manchester.

TATTON-ARMS-2016-1024x574The proposal put to Manchester City Council is for the conversion of the former Tatton Arms into nine apartments with 14 new mews houses to be built next door.

The development, which falls on green belt land within Northenden’s Conservation area, also includes a new riverside café and improved footpaths to link with the nearby riverside walk and footbridge over the River Mersey.

Viability is a key issue for this sensitive site and the project team is working to create a development that retains and restores the Tatton Arms building – empty since 2007 – whilst bringing the site back into use. The local community has responded positively to the plans.

The project team includes OMI Architects, Urban Green and Scott Hughes Design.
